Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery is the gold standard for chronic sinusitis, which is often associated with allergy. The aim is to allow the sinuses to aerate (breathe) normally. When the pathways of aeration are established, the symptoms of allergy and sinusitis are reduced significantly. Re-establishment of blocked pathways for the sinuses to aerate (allow sufficient oxygen to enter).
  • Excessive, bright red bleeding
  • A lot of clear watery drainage form the nose, or profuse salty tasting drainage down the throat
  • Double or blurred vision
  • Decreased ability to move or close eyes, or eye pain
  • Fever over 101 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Stiffness or pain in the neck or decreased alertness
